PET SURRENDER
VSA foster homes are always running at full capacity.
We currently have a waiting list for cats and kittens awaiting intake. If you cannot keep your cat, please try to find him / her a home yourself. You owe it to your pet to find him / her a home, as part of the commitment you made when you initially adopted your pet.
Times are tough for everyone, but please do all you can so your pet does not end up in a kill shelter.
While VSA cannot take in every animal, we do offer assistance by offering to place non VSA animals on our website, as a means of helping to advertise them for adoption.
Pets must be fixed and up to date on vaccines, prior to us advertising your pet online. You must also charge some type of an adoption fee, as giving away a pet for free is never a good idea. You must keep your pet until adopted, as well as take your pet back If it does not work out with new adopters.
VSA does this as a courtesy to animals looking for homes, but they will not be considered VSA animals, so all pet bios and pictures must be finalized at the time you submit them to VSA.
If you are looking for a home for your pet, email a picture and bio, as well as up to date vet records, and your contact info to Christina@Volunteerservicesforanimals.com.
Your pet will be posted on petfinder and VSA's website and anyone interested in adopting your pet will contact you directly. If your pet is not fixed, but you'd like to take advantage of VSA's online advertising, you may inquire about a VSA discounted spay / neuter voucher.
VSA offers low cost fixing to low income families. For more info, please visit the DISCOUNT SPAY/NEUTER page on the VSA website.
